According to the organisers, over 1,500 students took part in competitions across various sporting disciplines. The teams were drawn from public and private schools, representing diverse communities across Plateau State.
In the boys’ football category, teams played in a round-robin format leading to knockout stages. Similarly, girls’ football events were scheduled, with matches adjudicated by certified referees from the Plateau State Football Association.
Athletics events, including the 100m, 200m, and relay races, were held on the championship day, with participants cheered by teachers, parents, and local spectators.
Results were to determine medal winners, and awards ceremonies were planned for each category.
Organisers also included awards for individual performances in track and field events, according to the official competition manual.
Medals and certificates were to be presented to the top performers to recognise excellence and inspire continued participation.
