Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani was involved in a minor car crash on Tuesday, but walked away unharmed and is expected to feature in the club’s Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt, manager Thomas Frank confirmed.
The incident occurred as the French striker travelled with teammate Wilson Odobert to Stansted Airport ahead of the midweek fixture.
The crash happened on the M25 motorway in Hertfordshire, where one of Muani’s car tyres reportedly blew out, causing his vehicle to sustain damage.
Photographs circulating on social media showed both Muani and Odobert standing beside a damaged black Ferrari after pulling over following the incident.
Speaking at a pre‑match press conference, Frank said “Kolo Muani and Wilson Odobert are both fine” and that “everyone involved in that accident was fine.”
He added that the pair experienced a delay in travel but would fly out later on Tuesday night to join the squad in Germany for Wednesday’s decisive fixture.
Frank’s comments suggested that despite the scare, both players were in a good condition mentally and physically and were likely available for selection. Their involvement comes as Tottenham seeks to secure a favourable position in the Champions League group stage, with Wednesday’s match critical to their progression ambitions.
The crash occurred as Tottenham’s squad prepared for European competition, amid existing injury challenges.
The club has already confirmed that defender Pedro Porro will be sidelined for approximately four weeks due to a hamstring injury, while Micky van de Ven was also unavailable for the trip. Despite these setbacks, Frank confirmed that other players, including Pape Matar Sarr and Joao Palhinha, were available for the match.
Tottenham’s season has been mixed, with stronger form in European competition than in the domestic Premier League. The involvement of key forwards like Muani and Odobert could be vital for Spurs’ attacking options as they aim to maintain momentum in the Champions League.
