The organisation urged the president “to direct Dr. Bosun Tijani… and the Management of both… NIGCOMSAT and NNRA to account for and explain the whereabouts of the alleged missing or diverted ₦2.9 billion.”
SERAP also called for the involvement of the Attorney General of the Federation and anti-corruption agencies. It asked that officials linked to the funds be investigated and prosecuted where evidence exists.
The group further requested disclosure of entities linked to a ₦465 million investment described as “unauthorised.” According to the Auditor-General’s findings, NIGCOMSAT failed to account for several transactions, including unremitted revenues and irregular payments.
SERAP stated that “anyone suspected to be responsible should face prosecution… and any missing or diverted public funds should be fully recovered.” The organisation warned that failure to act within seven days could lead to legal action.
