The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, said that significant changes have taken place in Abuja under the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, emphasising improvements in city infrastructure, according to comments he made after inspecting ongoing projects in the territory.
Wike spoke about the developments in Abuja following a review of several road construction and urban upgrade projects.
He said the provision of infrastructure in the FCT has improved since the current administration took office, aligning the work with Abuja’s master plan.
The minister described the year as a golden jubilee for the nation’s capital, noting progress in road upgrades in areas such as Gishiri and the Outer Southern Expressway, including bridge construction and expressway dualisation efforts.
Wike said the ongoing road works would be ready for inauguration to coincide with the third year of the current administration’s tenure.
He expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of these infrastructure projects, describing the construction as “very good job” and consistent with planning frameworks for the FCT.
