The Kenya Association of Travel Agents (KATA) has stated that the multi-year distribution agreement between Air Peace Limited and global travel technology company Travelport will simplify booking processes and improve travel connectivity between Africa and the rest of the world.
According to KATA, the partnership will help remove the difficulties travel agents face when navigating disconnected booking systems for West African routes.
The agreement is expected to make travel planning more seamless, particularly for journeys linking cities across Africa and international destinations.
The agreement, announced on March 1, 2026, provides travel agents with real-time access to Air Peace’s domestic, regional, and international flight inventory.
Through the partnership, agencies across Africa, Europe, and North America can book Air Peace flights and related services more easily.
Travel agents will also be able to access ancillary services such as baggage options, seat selection, and lounge access in the same booking environment used for major global carriers.
KATA noted that the integration could improve connectivity between Nairobi and Lagos, while also facilitating onward travel to destinations such as London, Mumbai, and Guangzhou.
The development is expected to enhance cross-continental travel options by enabling more efficient booking of routes linking East Africa, West Africa, and international destinations through a unified distribution platform.
The partnership gives travel agencies access to Air Peace’s full flight content through Travelport’s global marketplace, expanding the airline’s distribution to travel agents in numerous countries.
Air Peace, one of the largest airlines in West Africa, operates domestic, regional, and international routes and continues to expand its network across several continents.
The agreement reflects ongoing efforts within the aviation sector to improve travel distribution systems and strengthen connectivity between African airlines and global travel markets.
